Ducks

It is fun to go outside and have a bunch of ducks laughing at you. Okay - maybe they are just quacking loudly, but their quacks will certainly make you giggle. Along with their waddling walk. We initially brought in ducks in three batches, months apart from each other. Oddly, they continued to divide themselves into their three groups when venturing around the property. After adding more girls and subtracting more boys, the flock seems to be content to all stay together.

For a while, the ducks were doing a great job paying their way. Duck eggs are great for people who have a hard time with chicken eggs. They have a different protein make up and a higher fat content. They are excellent for baking and with some duck eggs being VERY large, you can easily make a nice one egg omelet.
